India, Manipur - conference

Manipur: Indigenous groups, church leaders, elders,
social activists and students, among others, attended conferences in
Manipur to speak on the current controversy of the construction of the
Tipaimukh Dam in India and its effects on the Ahu (Barak) River. Around
300 people from 8 different villages of the Nungba area and Jiribam
sub-division participated.
